My Father Experience
When he was young, around the age of 17, after my father graduated from junior high school, he started to migrate. My father's goal of traveling was to change his destiny and way of life for the better. My father is the 5th child of 9 siblings. My father was born and raised from a village in Nias. There are 3 ideals of my father, namely: soldiers, clergyman, and business.
First, when my father graduated from junior high school, he migrated to Sibolga to work in the forest. Then he went to Padang in the 90's. He worked and continued his studies at the high school level. While my father was working there, he worked as a construction worker, as a porter and in a shop. After that my father migrated to Jakarta. He worked as a construction worker, factory work, marketing work.
My father migrated there for 2 years because there were many unemployed there. Then my father returned to Nias because it was difficult for my father to find a job in Jakarta. Finally, my father migrated to Batam on 1 July 2000. Upon arriving in Batam he worked as a construction worker, night guard, selling newspapers, marketing, working in a shop, raising pigs, driving a motorcycle taxi and trading.
Until now my father is still in Batam and married to my mother. My father and mother are looking for a temporary boarding house to live in. In 2008 they were looking for vacant land to build a house on. The house they built was for the business and even though my dad didn't become a clergyman, he became a church minister.
