With runway length of 4.025 meters, this airport has the longest runway in Indonesia and the second longest in Southeast Asia after Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. The origin of the name Hang Nadimcomes from the famous name of Admiral Hang Nadim from the Sultanate of Malacca.
