On a sunny morning, at the Hang Nadim International airport, Aisy is waiting for her guests from Singapore to arrive, and holding a paging board with the guests name on it.

Tour Guide : Hello, good morning. Welcome to Batam and welcome to Hang Nadim International Airport! Excuese me miss, I would like to confirm you. Are you miss Cassie from Singapore with a group called The Artica Tour and Travel?

Tour leader : Yes I am.

Tour Guide : Nice to meet you, miss Cassie. (Shaking hands)

Tour Leader : Nice to meet you too.

Tour Guide : Attention ladies and gentlemen ! Please follow me to the safe area.

Tour Guide : First, let me introduce myself. I’m Aisy on duty as your tour guide from Zia Tour and Travel company. Well, excuse me miss Cassie, could you give me the travel voucher please? I would like to confirm.

Tour Leader : Oh Sure, here it is.

Tour Guide : Well, ladies and gentlemen before we continue there are 35 minutes for you to go to the toilet or money changer. So, the toilet is on the left side there. The money changes is between the minimarket and the coffe shop there, right in front of us.

Tour Guide : : I’m Aisy as your tour guide and I am under the auspices of Zia Tour and Travel company. Beside me, this is Mr. Hanan as our driver, we are ready to guide you to every beautiful place in Batam along this 2 days tour.

Tour Guide : Well, we’ve just left Hang Nadim International Airport behind. Hang Nadim International Airport is located in Batu Besar in the Nongsa District. With runway length of 4.025 meters, this airport has the longest runway in Indonesia and the second longest in Southeast Asia after Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

Tour Guide : Batam is 1 hour behind Singapore and now it’s 3 P.M, so please re-set your time 1 hour back to current local time in Batam.

Tour Guide : Well, about the currency, Batam uses Rupiah, the exchange rate 1 dollar Singapore is 11.300 in Indonesian Rupiah

Tour Guide : Well ladies and Gentlemen, about the air, Batam is a tropical area, so it has hot season and rainy season. Now we are in hot season with the temperature around 31 celcius degree.

According to the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Service, in 2021 the population of Batam will reach 1,193,088 people, with a density of 1,153 people/km². Batam City is part of a special free trade area Besides that, Batam is also famous for its tourist destinations. Batam has certainly has a variety of natural beauty that can be enjoyed by anyone who visits Batam. The beauty of the resort, the sea, the beach, the tourist attraction and the delicious traditional food can be enjoyed while in Batam.

Tour Guide : Ladies and Gentlemen, our hotel is 4 stars hotel, it’s Harris Hotel located in Batam Centre. The distance from airport to the hotel is around 20 km or 30 minutes.

Tour Guide : Good afternoon. Reserved under the name of Zia Tour and Travel for a group, I’d like to reserve it.

Receptionist : Sure, Miss. Let me check the reservation. Reserved under the name of Zia Tour and Travel, three twin rooms type for a group with 6 guests for 1 night

Tour Guide : Yes
